The film tells the story of two of New York’s most notorious crime bosses, Frank Costello (Robert De Niro) and Vito Genovese (De Niro), who battle for control of the city’s streets. Once the best of friends, petty jealousies and a series of betrayals lead them into a deadly conflict that would change the Mafia (and America) forever.
